Ron McGehee

Ron McGehee is the world’s funniest “Half Korean, Half Irish” comedian;  yep, a dime a dozen. Born in Flint, Michigan and later raised in Orange, CA after his family succumbed to the “Great Liquor Store Rush” of the early 80’s.  He started comedy with the Orange County Crazies Improv troupe and then moved to L.A. to pursue standup comedy full time.  He has headlined at such venues as the World Famous Improv Comedy Clubs and The Comedy Store.  He has appeared on Funny Farm TV and was a premier performer honored on KNBC Channel 4 News in Los Angeles for Asian-American History Month.

McGehee was a semi finalist in the NBC Laugh Factory Latino/Asian-American Comedy Showcase and “Orange County’s Funniest Person Contest” where he went on to win. McGehee has also appeared on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing 2” as a finalist.

McGehee has made a number of guest television appearances promoting his brand of innovative Clean Comedy. He recently did warm up comedy at a live taping for Carlos Oscar’s one-hour special to be aired on a Comedy Central that will be released on DVD by Time Warner Video. He has also written for The Late, Late Show with Craig Kilborn, The Carson Daily Show, Jimmy Kimmel, Spec scripts for Scrubs and My Name Is Earl. McGehee and wife comedienne Kerri Pomarolli appeared on the Oxygen Network’s hit reality show, Tori and Dean; Inn Love, and starred, along with his comedian wife Kerri Pomarolli, in I Love Kerri, produced by Eastgate Productions. The webisodes, www.ilovekerri.tv, demonstrate both McGehee and Pomarolli’s comedic ability to interact as they take on the task of home improvement.  As you will see, their complete lack of skills is downright comical. I Love Kerripremiered on Sky Angel Two. McGehee recently starred in the film Engaged that premiered in November 2008 and will soon be seen on national television.
